“Il proprio posto” (One’s Own Place) is a series of environmental portraits of people photographed at their workplace: a personal trainer, a musician, a barman who owns his bar, a mechanic, a chef and a ceramicist. Shot in Umbria and Sardinia between 2018 and 2020.

I have met many people whose strongest passion was something that modern society now considers “minor”: no spotlight on them, only tenacity and love for their own craft, which push them every day to do more and better, with no need for recognition. I have always admired this perseverance, and that is where I began to look at the world of work, trying to tell it without filters.

It is the same way of looking with which I now make corporate documentaries: stepping into someone’s workplace and showing it as it is.
